SCIENCE 8 – MATHEMATICS 8 JUMPSTART CAMPS
Offered in July and August, our camps put students entering Gr. 7 and Gr. 8 ahead of everyone else for Science 8 and Mathematics 8. Course content is based on the current, redesigned B.C. Curriculum.
✔ We will prepare you for Gr. 7/8 Science and Mathematics.
✔ Students always come out of this program confident because of the daily hands-on activities we offer, fun experiments and demonstrations, and engaging lessons taught!
✔ Students become more equipped to take on the upcoming year because of the latest resources (complete booklets, worksheets, and practice tests) we offer.
✔ Snacks and drinks are provided daily.
COST: Single Camp = $250; Double Camp = $450
✔ The Jr. NBA program is an 8-week program that runs weekly for an hour and 15 minutes for two age groups (5-7 and 8-13 years old).
✔ Both our 10-hour programs are aligned with Canada Basketball’s Development Pathway and falls within the FUNdamental stage of Canadian Sport For Life.
✔ Participants will receive our JPL KIT (which includes a Jr. NBA T-shirt, Jr. NBA Drawstring Bag, Spalding Ball, Jr. NBA Poster, Jr. NBA Completion Certificate, plus much more)!

JUMP PLAY LEARN CANADA – RETURN TO SPORT (SAFETY) PLAN
|Coaches have been trained to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.|
✔ Before coming into camp, parents will be asked to fill-out a check-in “Workplace Health and Screening Form” to ensure that we do not have sick kids coming into the camp.
✔ If you do not feel well or are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, you must stay home.
✔ If you have traveled outside of Canada, you are not permitted at the facility until you have self-isolated for a minimum of 14 days.
✔ If you live in a household with someone who has COVID-19 or is showing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
✔ All coaches and players will be required to wash their hands upon entering/exiting the facility.
✔ In order to participate, JumpPlayLearners must bring their own equipment (ball), water bottle, etc. NO SHARING OF EQUIPMENT.
✔ All parents are asked to sign-in, drop their kid(s) off, and exit. Outdoor space is available. We have your emergency contact number should we need anything from you.
DURING THE PRACTICE
✔ If at any point during practice your child exhibits any of the key symptoms from our daily health check sign-in document (cough, fever, chills, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, loss of smell or taste, etc.), your child will be sent home and you will be contacted to pick him/her up from the facility.
✔ Comply with physical distancing measures at all time (2 meters apart).
✔ Avoid physical contact with others, including shaking hands, high fives, etc.
✔ We have one-way doors. Entrance will be by the stairs and the Exit will be by the opposite end.
✔ Washrooms will temporarily be off-limits.
✔ Extra hand sanitizer stations will be provided in the gym for players and staff.
✔ Leave the field of play as quickly as possible after you finish.
AFTER THE PRACTICE
✔ Coaches and volunteer staff will make sure that the facility is cleaned after each use. Any equipment used will be wiped down and sanitized.
✔ Frequently-touched surfaces will continue to be cleaned and disinfected before and after each practice session (which includes door handles and push bars, handrails, light switches, etc.)
